We’ve just arrived! We have spent an incredible week in Dublin, getting to know about the culture of Irish people and their ancestors, the Vikings, and practicing the language in situ.

We had amazing English lessons in the mornings and practiced speaking skills through songs, games and curiosities. In the afternoons we visited the most interesting spots: Malahide Castle, Howth, Christ Church and Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, the Museum of Archaeology, Temple Bar, the Trinity College… We strolled through O’Connell Street and Merrion Square where we met popular Dubliners like Molly Malone, James Joyce and Oscar Wilde. We even had a walk in Phoenix Park, the largest urban park in Europe!

As for the weather, it was just Irish: from slightly rainy to slightly snowy, through heavily windy and brightly sunny, but very cold.

At first, we were nervous and excited, maybe scared, about getting to know the families we were staying with, but they turned out to be so nice, warm and kind that we will keep this experience in our memory for a long time!
